Jesus Christ is God. The best friend you'll ever have. Ever.
You'll never regret coming to Jesus. So why not do it right now. No religious rites, no pious self-righteousness. Just you, on your knees, humble before Almighty God, calling on the name of Jesus Christ to save you from your sins.
Come to Christ, get saved, be born of God, born again. All welcome.
If you are not in his Son, that is, if you rejected the gospel of your salvation, you are dead.
Dead.
Jesus Christ is God. In him is life, and life everlasting.
'And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.'
Eph 2:1-3
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:'
Eph 2:12 'This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.'
Eph 4:17-19 'And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.'
John 6:40 'If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.'
1 John 5:9-11
'Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.'
2 Thessalonians 1:6-10
'He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.'
John 3:36
'And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.'
This young couple took the wrong turn. Binned the gospel tracts, crossed the street and walked away from the church building. Laughed the street preacher to scorn.
'Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:' Is 5:13-15
'There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.' Lk 13:1-5
'And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
Lk 16:23-24
'He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev 21:7-8
'Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them. As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.' Ps 55:15-16
Jesus Christ is God. He died in your place so you wouldn't have to die... twice.
And while the world waits for WW3 to kick off, Mr Davies, of Sycamore Crescent, Chesterfield, slips on a bar of soap in the shower and bangs his head...fatally...
Lk 16:23-24
It's not always a glorious death, not always seen a long way off. Mostly, it is a complete surprise. Unexpected.
The utter hopeless reality and of what comes next, for those who rejected the way out, is going to be a real shock for some. Maybe you.
But inexpressible joy and glory for those who chose life, in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God. Your way out paid for by him, in full, and offered again to you now.
Don't stiffen your neck and harden your heart. Turn back to God, repent, ask for forgiveness for your sins, call on his name to save you.
