"Jingle Bells"

I should be laid up, flat on my back today. Delightful though it may be, the thought of just gazing through the bedroom window up at the brooding sky all day is making me restless...

Sunny spells and showers - what a cop-out!
I had my 'orchidectomy' on Wednesday, which was a lot of fun, I can tell you.

I regret that I can't post a pic of the offending ball as threatened. It was apparently whipped away for dissecting and further tests and I have no pickled onions I can photograph it it's place!

I now have a new bollock 'fitted' that plays 'Jingle Bells' when it's in use (in use?!) and lights up in the dark, which is handy.

I had asked for 'She'll be Coming Round the Mountain When He Comes' as the tune but, as I'd not gone private, beggars can't be choosers.

I'm going off to gaze at the rain clouds again, now I've had a blog fix...

Sending good thoughts your way, Chris.
Heal heal heal! Stay in bed, for the love of all things holy! Just a few days, ok?

..and I just HAD to Google that. Thank you, Google, for the surgical images. :|

Well I am glad I am not the only one who had to google that.

What is the saying "better days are coming" :O)

I am agreeing with Samantha, probably best to lay low a few days! :O)

Thanks for taking "mo" to update; I had been wondering.
It's a gorgeous photo of the sky Chris! John can give you lessons in cloud watching!

Sam - thanks for your thoughts. I've shielded myself from the whole google 'take' on the procedure (which I strongly recommend everyone else do also btw)

Tex - let's hope so! No bicycle riding for me for a bit.

John - (groan), don't want to pull my stitches

Meggs - Yes but John just looks for rude shapes in the clouds...

I'm glad your op is over, Chris. Look after yourself. (I had to look it up on Google too ....)

I hope you recover quickly! I am still trying to imagine the lighting up and the jingle bells playing......!

just looked up at the welsh sky
and believe it or not, just seen a cock!

Molly - I have no idea why it's called an 'Orchidectomy'. 'De-bollock' would be more descriptive.

Melodie - I can imagine you trying to imagine it!

John - Richard Branson is ballooning again is he?

Oh, I am so glad you have got through the worst of it Chris. I know I would have been shitting myself if I were in your position, so I am full of admiration for you. I hope it's not too uncomfortable for you. All the best to you my (I hope) friend.

You are brave.

I am not looking anything up on google, except for good BC Marans breeders here in the states. I found one. However, Jingles Bells will never be the same for me.

If I lived just a little closer, I would bring you a healing herbal bouquet. Fresh sprigs of spicy basil, rosemary and lemon balm in an antique glass bottle with a green bow. My tried and true healing gift. I hope you can receive it through cosmic waves.

I love your readers. They never fail to make me laugh out loud. :-) You run with a fun bunch.

Heal up friend. You will be back in business in no time. But first heal.

Tom - I had to have a little cry my friend as that was so touching lol!

John - Not worth bothering with then

Meggs - Ditto (now I know why you pair do so much sky watching, you naughty people)

Crow - Not brave. Stupid yes, but not brave. They are a good bunch, you included.

Well, you didn't lose any of your humor! I hope you heal quickly, Chris, and are out fishing very soon.

Did you ask for an extra large falsie Chris? I suppose that wouldn't work unless it was both - you'd be all lop sided.
Glad it's over for you and best of luck for a full and fast recovery.

As we all know, Hitler was monorchic. But, of course, Goebbels had no balls at all.

No horse riding for a while. Best wishes. Cro.

Chris said...

Lisa - no, the humour was in the left one lol

Craig - I thought a bowling ball would be a bit 'obvious', even if it was in proportion to the other bits...

Cro - or any other kind for that matter!!!lol
