Oh!

Logged on this morning to find that GrowFishEat.blogspot.com is now GrowFishEat.blogspot.co.uk!

Which has totally f**ked up some gadgets and stuff.

Another classic 'do it first and worry about the destruction later' issue from the chaps at Blogger...

Anyone else feel like a guinea pig?

Mine too but I agree, it really pisses me off when service providers just change things. Just yesterday my mobile phone pay as you go service deducted 20% of the recharge I had just fed it for a service allaowing me to make free calls, only to ohter Unitel phones, from midnight to 5am. I am in bed at ten thirty and up again at 6.30. How can they call it free if I have to pay what they call a subscription and I call theft? And of course, I can't just threaten them and demand my money back, I have to 'opt out' which costs me a long phone call talking to a robot.

I have never looked at the address of my one - I just take what I am given without complaint... (yeah, right).

I'm sorry Chris! Mine shows up as blogspot.com when I look at the url - unless you've already tinkered with it or something.

I've sent some guys round who have insisted (gently but firmly) that they sort it - and they have.

Seems blogger have changed the URL settings for everyone's blog to country specific addresses (without telling anyone of course).

I know some bloggers who use their blog address for business cards and other stationary. They WILL be pleased with the reprinting costs...

It might be another push by the Google team to force people to 'try the new blogger interface'.

You know that old saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it...'

Oh, Crap! I hadn't even noticed that I am now mitchellismoving.blogspot.com/es until I read your post. Wonder what trouble it's brought.

If I copy an English address from the browser to paste into my blog it comes up with an NZ at the end! My address changed to NZ too, which I understood was a result of the possibility of all dot com addresses being closed down after a big piracy court case. I don't know what I'm talking about, only what I've picked up from listening to the youth of today...

I once logged onto my blog just to be told by blogger that my blog no longer exists! Talk about a WTF moment, with a side of panic.

Blogger really does enjoy fucking with us. :)

Here you come up as growfisheat.blogspot.fr

Very odd. I haven't checked my own page yet. Maybe I'm .fr too.

There used to be a sort of general forum on the help pages (which you find on your dashboard) which seems to have been...how can I say it...muted.

The forum pages were generally full of bloggers tearing strips off Blogger for 'tinkering' behind the scenes and causing mayhem.

I've noticed that some blogs that are in foreign lands (to me) come up as .co.uk, even though they originate in New Zealand.

What a mess.
