Usual Suspects

Not the line-up you want to find yourself in before God.

'But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.'
2 Peter 3:8-10

Jesus is God. The countdown began a long time ago. If you're not saved yet you are leaving it very, very late in the day. Stop procrastinating and come home to the Lord. Or are you so sure you have tomorrow?

Brethren - pray for these guys. God is so loving, even they can still be saved.

How do I approach God?

'Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.'
Isaiah 1:18

'Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.'
Psalm 51

Jesus Christ is God. Literally God Almighty amongst us. Immanuel. God in the flesh, the Word made flesh. The Lamb of God whose blood was shed to take away the sin of the world, to wash clean all those who come to Him, saved to the uttermost, washed and cleansed in the blood. Spotless and without blemish, Christ died for us sinners.

How do I approach God my creator and saviour? Humble, contrite, and repentant. Once you get saved through faith in Jesus Christ you can approach God as a son, with boldness and joy.

Humble yourself, ask for forgiveness and He will lift you up.

Not mocked.

East coast?

Jesus Christ came to save us. All of us.

All He asks of you is for you to call on Him, repent and turn back to His love, a hand of forgiveness that He will continue to offer you for as long as you are able to draw a breath, through His awesome grace and unparalleled love.

Salvation is a gift. How many breaths do you have left?

'But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.'

Jude 1:17-25

Believe!

'There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.'

John 3:1-21

Jesus is God. Believe on Him and be born again.

The writing is on the wall. In reality, it's a huge neon sign God is flashing furiously at us. It's impossible to ignore these stark warnings of what's about to happen, unless we deliberately do so, preferring to lie to ourselves and remain in darkness.

Scenario

So you've just had a new white carpet fitted in your house. You can still smell that new carpet smell and it looks fabulous.

As you're hoovering up those loose bits the fitter always seems to leave, I turn up at your door having just walked the dogs along the muddy canal towpath. In winter. In the rain.

Am I coming in?

God hates sin. There is no sin in heaven, God's house. Without Christ, you will die in your sins. And, dripping in filthy sin, you won't be coming in. Period.

Jesus Christ is God. Only His precious blood can wash you of your sin. Free deep clean to whomever asks for it.

Something waiting for you...

There IS something waiting for you after your physical death. The main event as it were to this life which, however short or long it lasts, is merely the prelude.

Where you end up (for eternity) is dependant on only one thing.

Did you believe on the Son of God Jesus Christ and accept Him as your personal saviour?

Jesus Christ is God. He has done everything possible for you to enter heaven, even giving His own precious Son to die on the cross for you. Especially you. All He asks is for you to come to Him, believe in Him, and receive Him. Salvation is a gift from God to all who ask for it.

Rest in Him and He will do the rest in you.
